Hey rory, what the fuck isit with you? some of your friends are startin' to think that you've been eaten. no not yet. sooner or later we all get eaten by somethin', I guess, even if it's just little bitty microbes, or the wind. but that ain't happened yet. little guy rory found on a milkweed leaf not too long ago can't say the same though:
rory figured it was time. the critters are even tellin' me to get back to it. roryz been workin' his arse off. trackin'. rattlers. but that season is gonna slow down now. and if trackin' for miles up and down in the heat with all the biters eating the flesh of rory weren't enough, rory moved. and when rory moves, rory moves a lot of shit. rory doesn't travel light. and rory does the labor himself for the most part. trackin' for 10 or 12 hours, enough to make you wanna lie down and not move. and then packin' and cleanin' and carryin' and organizin' and throwin' away and bein' shoved down remembrance alley goin' through shit and dragged into a doorway of memory here and there involuntarily and beaten about the head, kissed, made sad, made happy, and made aware of the passage of time and things rory didn't even remember he did, knew, or knew of. good thing to do once in awhile, methinks. a month of solid no rest movin' and trackin'. off line for a bit. so cool to be back now and anticipating communication with bloggers. like a return from a sea voyage without comms. but enough. don't let the hiatus become heinous. come on back. return them calls. come on rory. don't be missin' all that news out there either. holy frickin' shit, you missed the story of bush visitin' a shoe factory while baghdad burns:
Stupid motherfucker indeed.
dude won the bet
on the same date -- July 11 -- that the first fuckwad modeled the clown shoes at a factory in Wisconsin his actions resulted some more death in Iraq:
BAGHDAD - Two suicide bombers and a roadside bomb killed 15 people outside Baghdad's fortified Green Zone government compound on Tuesday, the U.S. military said. The al-Qaeda-led Mujahideen Shura Council in Iraq said it was behind the two suicide attacks, according to an Internet posting.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen killed eight employees of an Iraqi contracting company and wounded three after bursting into their offices in Baghdad's western Mansur district.
BAQUBA - Gunmen killed 19 people in different incidents in the religiously mixed city of Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.
BAGHDAD - Gunmen opened fire at a minibus, killing 10 people and wounding one in the southern Sunni district of Baghdad, an Interior Ministry source said.
all on the day he modeled the clown shoes and kissed his own ass about how great the U.S. economy is doin' ... guess not much has changed in the month or so roryz been offline
neverthefrickinless it's good to be back

Hell's yes! Had to carve my initials in the peanut butter jar again! Welcome back brother.
howdy howdy guerillas ... good to be back and to be greeted by you so soon ...
Unbelievable pic of the spider (wolf[owitz]?) too--sort of appropriate for the ongoing shtick back home.
Have you seen/heard Jello Biafra's "Machine Gun in a Clown's Hand?" He does a great "Cornholio Bush" rant.
haven't seen/heard it ... gotta check it out ... thanks for the tip
welcome back dude. I was missing my Rory fix.
oh, and thanks for the comment re: the spider photo ... it was a jumping spider and it was almost as if it posed for the picture ... it was curious about me for sure ... it stopped and did that jumping spider head cockin' I'm lookin' at you thing ... that communicates so much more intelligence and decency than w ever does with his mug and eyeballs
yo' graeme ... thanks man ... good to see ya
Welcome back... Love the nature pictures! I love the wild, the untamed, not too keen, however, about the kind that wear clown shoes! Where's Dick and his gun when you need him most...? Spider was amazing! Make a poster out of that with the caption-
Eat Bush... before it's too late!
rory, good to see you back! hope your unpacking doesn't go as slow as my last move ... 8-mos later & I've still got unpacked boxed memories lying around, almost to the point of becoming furniture now.
Your recap of just ONE day in Iraq perfectly illustrates why we need to leave NOW. We have a good, long history of creating chaos & then walking away, why break tradition now. Lots of problems to tend to right here at home.
ps, saw a Calif King snake, black'n'white zebra stripe 4-ft long in SW Utah couple weeks ago. Did NOT blend in our red desert AT ALL & made me think it was an escaped pet. Thought of you & cheered him on ... he was making his way toward the local tortoise preserve! D.K.
Glad to have your sick humor back...it is the best kind. I always approach your photos carefully (slit eyes) so I am not surprised by the reptile that has no legs...I prefer the leggy ones, heh heh!
Good to have you back!
You didn't miss anything, but we sure missed you.
Thank the stars... Rory is alive and well and his acid wit is still caustic.
I'd pay damn good money to see somebody strap on those fugly shoes and have an ass-kicking party on Prez Asshat.
Rory! Welcome back man! We missed you - and I think some of us were starting to worry a little. I was starting to think about clowns again. I went to a movie with the kids the other day and we saw some people balloon animaling outside the theater. I hurried the kids inside so as not to expose them. And I thought about Rory and started to worry. "I hope the clowns didn't get to Rory again," I thought.
What a relief!
Anyway..
Hope the move went ok - man, I know EXACTLY what you mean about getting shoved down remembrance alley. Well put.
Those pictures are AMAZING!
Fantastic photos! It is probably easier to track rattlers than to read about the worst kind of snakes in our government. So glad you're back.
Great Pictures and Bush in Clown Shoes ( OMG how perfect is that????)- We are so grateful to have you back- YOU WERE SO MISSED.....( I know I have no room to talk about MIA Blog status). Welcome Back ;-)
Happy, happy, joy, joy.... Look who's back! And funnier than ever. Except for that last part. That's sadder than ever, of course.
Those shoes were hideous!
Glad to see you are back Rory. I was getting worried :)
poetry man good to hear from you ... workin' on the poster ... yep, uh hunh!
dk howdy: re: released pet snakes ... I heard from reputable source of a 9 foot reticulated python found in a NY state park ... didn't survive, though ... recently ... I guy I know found a corn snake ... well outside its range and probably not gonna survive the winter ... and I found a ball python frozen a couple of winters ago ... what are people thinking when they release pets that are not evolved to deal with the climate in which they are released? tortoise preserve ... hmm that definitely sounds like a place rory would like to visit!
sumo! hope the skink will be a good transitional nature image for you in the next post and hope that you get past the first rattler pic okay
thanks pop ... missed you too
tina: yeah, i'd like to see one of them redwhitenblue wing tips shoved up his ass
gugon ... the clowns have been lurking in the shadows ... thus far my escape and evade clown tactics have ensured my tenuous survival ... thank nature that you were there to protect your kids from the balloon animaling perverts ... sick fucks!!!!
peacechick: yep the rattlers behave so much better
enigma!! glad to make contact again ... thanks for comin' round
jublu ... yep them shoes put the frickin' "u" in "ugly"
haddock, thanks for carin' 'bout rory ... you rock dude
glenda ... thanks ... glad to be back again ...
hey rory, quick follow-up: That Calif King Snake (B&W) I saw WAS within the limits of its natural territory (per reptileguru.com). Still seems very strange to me the "desert" variety is strikingly B&W and didn't blend at all in SW Utah's red desert, probably the main reason I even saw him. Yeah, I agree, people that release pets into a hostile environment are really just consigning them to a painful death. All they've accomplished is removing themselves from having to watch the animal die. D.K.
dk, thanks for the range info on the ca king ... wasn't aware of the range ...
It's great to have you back blogging again, and I'm happy to hear all is well.
thanks kathy
